Dear Prospective Wedding Clients
We are delighted to introduce to you Documents, Weddings & Diaspora Services (DWDS). We take pride in fixing your documents, bonding for a better society and facilitating Jamaicans living in the Diaspora to be connected to their home country by allowing them to have seamless experience in accessing important documents.
We take pleasure in arranging your wedding ceremony from the procurement of the Minister's Licence to the actual ceremony/Reception. Please be advised of the following:
DWDS offers private weddings at an affordable cost. You have flexible venue options, such as: Beach View, Lawn, Church or a decorated Hall. We can also arrange your wedding at your own venue if you choose. The ceremony is performed by a Marriage Officer of the Island of Jamaica, who is a Minister of Religion or a Civil Registrar. You will receive your certificates within ten Business days after the ceremony.
Wedding ceremonies are held Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and on Saturday to Sunday 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
What we need from you:
- Certified copies of both parties' birth certificates. You will be required to state the fathers' name if it is not recorded on the birth certificate or state unknown if the father is not known to you.
- Identification: Passport, Driver's Licence or Elector Registration Identification Card
- Occupation of bride and groom
- If married before, certified final divorce papers or death certificate of spouse
- Local address for groom and bride
Procedure
- Completed Form of Declaration for Minister's Licence.
- We will visit the Government Stamp Office and pay the mandatory Stamp Duty. The blank Minister's Licence (Schedule G, page 2) will bear this stamp
- We will visit the Ministry of Justice at 61 Constant Spring Road, Kingston 10, with stamped Minister's Licence (Schedule G, page 2), the completed Form of Declaration and the applicable documents mentioned above. The Licence (Schedule G, pages 1&2) will then be completed and issued to us clearing the way for you to get married.
- Bride and groom must be residing in Jamaica for a minimum of 24 hours before ceremony.
- Wedding Package includes Processing of Minister's Licence in Kingston, Decorated Venue, Wedding Ceremony and two original copies of your Marriage Certificates.
NB: Option for Reception is also available if you choose. (Conditions apply)

What We Need From You

- • If either party was previously married, marriage certificate for previous marriage, certified final divorce decree or death certificate of deceased spouse
